- Odate Cherry Blossom Festival
- Over 140 cherry trees burst into color during the Odate Cherry Blossom Festival. It is held every spring in Keijo Park, site of the former Odate Caste. Traces of the castle, such as the moat, can still be seen. Visitors can enjoy stage performances, food stalls, and more. Be sure to visit during the evening to see the trees lit up!

- Kitaakita Cherry Blossom Festival
- Takanosu Central Park is home to approx. 800 cherry trees that delight visitors with their colorful display. The shimmering reflections of the trees illuminated at night are a must-see.

- Odate Rose Festival: Spring Season
- When the roses bloom, they charm visitors with their elegant aroma. Rose saplings and souvenirs are available for purchase. During the evening the garden is illuminated, and you can see the roses in a differnt light from the day time.

- Acacia Festival
- The streets are filled with the sweet aroma of flowers when the Acacia trees bloom in early June. Kosaka celebrates the blossoming with the annual Acaia Festival. A number of contests (ramen eating competition!), shows, and games are held throughout the weekend.

- Tashiro Bamboo Festival
- Feast on fresh, wild takenoko (bamboo shoots) picked from the local mountains at this annual event. Tashiro takenoko is famous for being tender and filled with flavor.Raw takenoko and popular takenoko soup are sold at the festival and competitions like takenoko speed-eating are open to all visitors.
