- Rose Festival: Autumn Season
- Some of the over 500 varieties at the Ishida Rose Garden are best seen during the autumn. The full bloom coincides with the Kiritampo Festival, and we recommend visiting both the same weekend for two days of food and beauty.

- Kiritampo Festival
- Experience kiritampo, Akita's most famous dish, as it was meant to be enjoyed. Free range Hinai chicken, newly harvested rice, and local vegetables meld together to create a truly delicious stew. Taste test different varieties at the many booths, or try making your own at the "10,000 Kiritampo grill". There are plenty of performances on stage and games available for guests of all ages to enjoy.
